LOVE Island star Arabella Chi shared her top tips for Britons wanting to visit Ibiza, including the best secret beaches and how to make a holiday on a budget .
The model explains why she loves the Spanish island, it’s all about the family she grew up there.
She told Sun Online Travel: “My father lives in Ibiza as an original hippy, in the seventies.
“My dad’s family moved there in 1968 so it was a family stretch – we always had a place there so I was a hippy Ibiza kid.
“My dad moved to England and met my mother but my parents still own a place in Marina Botafoch, so I split my time between here and there.”
From the best bars to top tips for first-timers to Ibiza, here are some Arabella’s Top tips.
The best restaurant
“Every year I take my parents to a new restaurant.
“For the view, Casa Maca has a really good vibe and the food is phenomenal. However, you have to book a month in advance.
“There’s also Elements Ibiza which has a really chill feel, and isn’t luxurious at all.”
The best club
“Every night is different so this is a tough one. But maybe I’ll say DC10 is still my favorite.
“There are two great nights here that I love – Paradise and Circoloco – and the music there is amazing.”
The best beach bars
“My club days are over, I’m 30 – I prefer beach bars and go to bed at 12pm.
“All my friends want to come super club but Ibiza is much more than clubs.
“Ibiza Test Beach is my favorite by far. It’s a place to watch the sunset with a really great feel – lots of hippos and people playing bongos as the sun goes down.”
The best beach
“Only one lots of coves that people don’t realize.
“There’s Cala Salada, where you have to get over rocks to get to it – it’s hard to come by but the water in the Maldives is crystal clear.
“There’s a beach restaurant up there but it’s not good so you have to eat lunch on your own.
“Another great place is Cala Comte which has very clear water, and has a very nice restaurant up there called Cotton Beach Club.”
Best secret spot
“The best secret is probably hiking in Atlantis. It’s half an hour down a steep rocky hill so it’s not for the faint of heart.
“But the view when you get down there is these amazing rock cutouts. You can take a boat to the edge of it but everyone is hiking instead.
“It’s best at dawn or dusk because it’s too hot for mid-day hiking.
“Another secret spot is at the end of Talamanca beach – there’s a place called Fish Shack where there’s no menu and no reservation, but really fresh fish.
“Or there’s Agroturismo Atzaró, an old and traditional Ibiza-like farmhouse, with vegetables on site, peacocks walking around and a hotelier’s paradise.
“They have really affordable spa day packages that cost around €150 but include treatments, day beds and lunch.”

The best part of the island to stay
“Stay at Marina Botafoch or Talamanca, because you are in the center of a lot of places, even though you need a car or scooter because the taxi situation is terrible.”
The best places to wear your sexiest clothes
“There is Cipriani – a really good Italian restaurant.
“Izakaya is my favorite Asian food, along with Nagai, while Amante has great food.
“LIO has a pub for a great night out, or in the middle of nowhere is Aubergine, which is very rural and the food is beautiful.”
Best for shopping
“Go to all the little stalls around Ibiza Old Town to shop, with a clothing store called Annie’s which is really good – I got some traditional Ibiza cowboy boots last week. “
Tips for Newbies Ibiza
“Don’t follow the crowds – rent a scooter or car and drive to find hidden spots as there are lots of coves.
“Also, a lot of beaches don’t have day beds, so get your own towel to lay on the rocks.
“And walk to the top of Ibiza Old Town because the view is so beautiful.”
Tips if doing Ibiza on a budget
“You don’t have to do all the fancy stuff, because the beaches are beautiful.”
“There’s also Hostal Talamanca – they serve very good breakfast and coffee – and there are plenty of places along Talamanca that are more chill and family-friendly, and great on a budget.”
