It comes after 26-year-old Ron Lana told Lana she “messed up” and made a “mistake” after not picking him on the last relink.

After pulling the 25-year-old makeup artist aside in the garden, he slammed her decision to go with Casey O’Gorman, 26, telling her, “I know I’m better.”

Fans were horrified by the scenes and some have even reached out to Ofcom on Twitter, claiming his behavior was “triggering”.

One viewer tweeted: “@Ofcom Ron is acting in a way that is making ladies across the country uneasy please check out this #LoveIsland.”

Another posted a ‘Red Flag’ emoji and wrote: “‘You did f** up’, Lana run. I want to make an Ofcom complaint because that’s mental abuse right there.”

A third also threatened to contact the watchdog, saying: “Writing a complaint to ofcom bc about this Lana and Ron thing…which has been going on for over 2 weeks!!!”

A fourth added: “Ofcom will learn about Ron’s manipulative gaslighting behavior.”

And someone else asked, “But Ron, it’s you who’s been looking for every single girl in FRONT OF LANA.

During Sunday night’s episode of Love Island, Lana was spotted picking out Casey in the most recent reconnect.

Despite bouncing between her for two weeks, Ron was clearly unhappy with her decision.

Monday night’s episode focused on the fallout from her decision – and Ron’s feelings about it.

Fans watched as Lana asked Ron if she could talk to him shortly after the reconnection ended, but he declined.

Seconds later, he pulled Casey aside and gave him his “blessing” to go after Lana.

Later in the episode, Ron pulled Lana aside and told her that she “screwed up” her decision.

Lana seemed affected by what he said and later told the girls that she didn’t leave him forever.

In a preview of Tuesday night’s episode, Lana tells Ron she made an “imprudent decision” in choosing Casey.

Love Island continues on Tuesday 7 February at 9pm ITV1/ITVX
