Love Island 2022: Start date confirmed ahead of the start of the new season

The start date for the new season of island of love was announced.

According to posts on the show’s official social media accounts, the popular romance-reality series will return for an eighth season on June 6, 2022 at 9 p.m.

“Here’s your first hot date of the summer,” says the official statement island of love Twitter page reads. “#LoveIsland is back Monday June 6th on @itv2 and @itvhub!”

If the 2022 season follows the same schedule as previous ones, programming will air nightly at 9pm, with each Saturday night edition being a roundup of exclusive non-aired content from earlier in the week.

In the hit show, the cast try to find love in a mansion while new arrivals threaten to disrupt growing relationships.

Last year, Millie Court and Liam Reardon were announced as winners, sharing the £50,000 prize money.

In response to the date announcement, many viewers have shared their anticipation for the new set of episodes.

“I’m so ready for this!” said one delighted fan, while another declared: “Summer is here.”

Last week, island of love announced that this year’s attendees will wear second-hand eBay clothing.

This is the first time the show, famous for its partnership with fast fashion brands like I Saw It First and Missguided, has partnered with a popular clothing company.
