Longmont Elementary School on ‘state of safety’ due to police activity in the area

LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) – Theo school website, Columbine Elementary School has been placed in a “safe state” due to police activity in the area.

Police will be at the school to assist with the release of students and will require parents to pick up their children at the school’s south entrance on 6th Avenue. Parents are required to remain in the vehicle when picking up their children.

The notice said that the police activity had nothing to do with the school.
