London restaurant dedicated to Brussels sprouts will open next week

Christmas is a time of celebration and eating, but sometimes we don’t quite agree on the menu and argue about more (or less) of a certain dish.
Brussels sprouts are often one of those controversial dishes, because they’re a bit like Marmite: you either love them or hate them.
For those who hate vegetables and would rather die than eat sprouts for Christmas, then you’ll want to avoid this new restaurant.
However, for those who love sprouts and can eat an entire green Christmas dinner with nothing else on your plate, then Tastecard has you covered.
Tastecard, a diners club that is offering discounts at select UK restaurants, is opening a pop-up restaurant in just three days next week and it’s entirely dedicated to Brussels Sprouts.
The restaurant offers a three-course set menu including Brussels sprouts pickled bellini, Brussels arancini with tomato and spiced nigella sauce, lamb kofte with Brussels tabbouleh and pomegranate, Brussels sprouts risotto with lemon, peppers and seeds hazelnuts, and a number of other items related to Brussels sprouts.
Not only will Brussels buffs find themselves able to indulge in an assortment of these Christmas staples, diners at this specialty restaurant will be treated by a Drag Queen dressed as – you guessed it – Brussels Sprouts!
The Queen will perform and perform for guests while they’re eating, so even if you get kicked and yelled at by your sprout-loving friend or partner, you can at least enjoy the show.
Matt Turner, Founder and CEO of ngoecard, said: ‘Tastecard knows how to deliver unique and unforgettable dining experiences and we are certainly doing that with Restaurant Brussels Sprouts.
‘No matter how you feel about the split veggie, our exclusive pop-up for diners will provide diners with an unforgettable festive dining experience like no other. is different.’
Located on Micawber Street, between London’s Old Street and Angel stations, anyone wanting to sample the controversial vegetable can purchase a ticket via Eventbrite for £22.15, including fees. Tickets will include a three-course meal and show.
All proceeds from tickets will be donated to anti-hunger charity FareShare, which tackles food waste and redistributes food to those in need in the UK.
Tickets for the first pop-up night are sold out, but diners can still attend on Wednesday, December 8 or Thursday, December 9 – act fast so you don’t miss out.
