London: Police continue to appeal for help in finding missing NHS nurse

Police are urgently searching for a young NHS nursing assistant who has gone missing from the south London for almost two weeks.

Petra Srncova, of the Camberwell area, was reported missing by a colleague involved on Friday, December 3.

The 32-year-old left work at Evelina Children’s Hospital London around 19:45pm on Sunday, November 28, and is believed to have been wearing a green coat and carrying a colored backpack. Red.

It is believed she withdrew money from a withdrawal point before boarding the bus towards Elephant and Castle.

She was then said to have changed to a new bus bound for her home address in Camberwell, where she was last seen at around 8:20pm.

A man has been arrested in connection with her disappearance and remains in custody, city ​​police speak.

The force said it has been in contact with Ms. Srncova’s family in her native Czech Republic, who have not yet heard from her.

Police added that they are increasingly concerned for Ms Srncova’s welfare and are asking anyone who has seen her, or has information about her whereabouts, to contact them immediately.

Evelina Hospital said on Twitter: ‘We are deeply concerned about our valued colleague Petra who is missing. We would like to encourage anyone with any information that may help find her to contact police. ‘

Harriet Harman, MP for Camberwell and Peckham, has also appealed for the public’s help in finding Ms Srncova.

Ms. Harman will post posters near the home of the missing woman today and will hold a press call on the corner of Kimpton and Elmington streets.

Detective Superintendent Clair Kelland, from the Central South Command Unit which includes the Camberwell area, said: ‘The disappearance of Petra was inevitable and, of course, her family and friends are greatly worried. .

‘We are also increasingly concerned about Petra’s welfare and have staff working hard to try and find her.

‘If you have any information, please get in touch and help us answer the question.’
