Liverpool’s quest for an ‘unstoppable’ £31.5million midfielder takes a turn as conflicting reports emerge

Liverpool want Ibrahim Sangare but there are conflicting claims about Bayern Munich’s interest in the PSV Eindhoven star.
Ibrahim Sangare continues to be linked elsewhere as Liverpool may be at risk of missing another midfield goal.
Liverpool’s search for a new midfielder has run into serious trouble of late.
A new presenter was sought after Jordan Henderson and Fabinho moved to Saudi Arabia.
Southampton’s Romeo Lavia became the top target but Liverpool fell through with three bids as they were unable to meet the asking price.
Liverpool made the move to Moises Caicedo despite the Brighton and Hove Albion star being worth double Lavia’s price.
A deal was agreed with Brighton but Caicedo opted for Chelsea, leaving Liverpool back to using Lavia as a top target.
It is worth noting that Lavia was on par with Caicedo in the decision to join Chelsea and appears to be preparing to challenge the Ecuadorian for first-team minutes.
This frankly incredible turn of events has Liverpool scrambling for a new midfielder, with several names linked in recent days.

Liverpool could face competition from Ibrahim Sangare
One of those names is that of PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
ESPN Netherlands report that alongside Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool are also involved in Sangare’s signing.
At 1.80m tall, the Ivorian is a huge presence in midfield and has been impressing for PSV since joining from Toulouse in 2020.
Hailed as “unstoppable” by PSV boss Roger SchmidtSangare might be the type of defensive midfielder Liverpool want, but the Bayern rumors take some interesting turns.
foot Mercato Reporter Santi Aouna claims that Bayern Munich are currently discussing personal terms for Sangare’s signing.

Thomas Tuchel is keen to sign a talented player and rumor has it Bayern are trying to reach an agreement with Sangare before paying his €37m (£31.5m) release clause.
However, Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany – a fairly reliable source for Bayern news – claims that the Bundesliga giants don’t want Sangare at all and there are no negotiations.
The situation has become very confusing and Liverpool will try to find out whether Bayern are really in the running or not.
This release clause should be interesting for Liverpool, who paid two release clauses this summer with the signing of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
The exclusion of tough negotiations appears to be something Liverpool like and they will weigh that with Sangare.
