BRITS are in for an absolute scorcher tomorrow as sweltering temperatures of 21C are set to hit London on Good Friday.

The weather has been heating up since Wednesday the long weekend brings the hottest day of the year so far.

Temperatures this weekend will surpass previous ones weather Record 20.8 °C (69.4 °F) on March 23.

Weather expert Annie Shuttleworth said: “If people are traveling for the sun, then areas farther east are more likely to see this brighter weather.”

She added: “I think mainly for the bank holiday weekend we will see temperatures well above average across the UK and hopefully they could be very warm in the South East in particular.

“Certainly warmer than average, but nowhere near heat wave criteria. It’s definitely going to be warmer than the week we just had and last week.”
