Tommy, played by Sonny Kendall, has been having a rough time at Walford lately.

But in upcoming scenes, which will hit our screens next week, the schoolboy will only make things worse when a member of his family finds out it’s over just playing.

During her school days, Lily (played by Lillia Turner since 2020) is concerned when she sees that Tommy is still being taunted by his bullies.

However, her concern turns to shock when she cleans up and finds something incredibly disturbing in the boy’s bag.

As mentioned above, Tommy’s behavior on the long-running BBC One soap was far from exemplary.

This is mainly because he is constantly being tormented by some of his classmates.

In recent episodes, youngster Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) asked for help, which resulted in the tough man finding the remains of Tina Carter at the Argee Bhajee – before he was arrested.

With Phil behind bars, Tommy knew he couldn’t count on him to take on the bullies, but he refused to ask for any further help, despite his mother asking Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) if the bullying had stopped .

Recently, the owner of Kat’s Cabs became adamant that Tommy stole money from her business.

Little does she know that the culprit was actually her cousin Jean (Gillian Wright), who is enjoying her revived relationship with cab driver Harvey Monroe.

More importantly, however, in the final few episodes, Tommy physically punched Kat and left her bleeding after their encounter.

The scene shocked many BBC One viewers as Tommy was never known for causing trouble.

But while his behavior is causing more concern for those around him, Tommy’s problems at school are far from new.

In 2020, when Kat was still dating Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), the boy confided in the latter.

Tommy told Kush he hated school, but when he thought about talking to his mother about his ailments, the boy asked him to keep it all a secret.

What did Lily find in Tommy’s bag and what will she do with the discovery?

How does Tommy ever get rid of his bullies?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
