Lil Nas X pees on the BET Awards ahead of the ‘Late to Da Party’ song premiere

Lil Nas X is mad.

The 23-year-old rapper on Thursday released artwork for his new single “Late to Da Party,” which shows the “Old Town Road” sensation peeing on a BET Award already soaked in bodily fluid in a toilet.

He also posted a minute-long “Star Wars”-esque text crawl about how BET “betrayed” the artist.

The diss track comes as Nas X was completely snubbed by the 2022 BET Awards, which air Sunday.

“Thank you betting awards. zero nominations again,” he wrote in a thread of now-deleted tweets after the nominations were announced, according to Billboard. “Black Excellency!” he added sarcastically.

“This isn’t about the no bet prize, this is about the larger issue of homophobia in the black community. Y’all can sit and pretend but I’ll risk it all for us,” he reportedly tweeted again on June 7.

To ensure the track grabs headlines ahead of the awards show, Nas X has been teasing the new tune featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again throughout the month.

“F-k BET, f-k BET/ F-k BET, f-k BET”, the song begins in a minute-long preview He posted on Twitter on June 7th.

The music and video for the new track will be released at midnight on Thursday. According to the ‘Star Wars’ inspired teaser, ‘NBA youngboy is under house arrest, trapped on the isolated planet HATU. The Brutal Empire of Terror (BET) betrayed Lil Nas X and turned their backs on him after using him as a clout.”
