Lewis Hall was star man on stunning debut but Lukaku and Werner wasted against Chesterfield

LEWIS HALL was involved in Chelsea’s 5-1 win over non-Chesterfield side Chesterfield in the FA Cup.
The European Champion took a 4-0 lead before half-time thanks to goals from Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku and Andreas Christensen.
Hakim Ziyech added a fifth goal, securing Chelsea’s place in the 4th round of the National Cup.
Tourism The Chesterfield fans had their moment albeit at the 80th minute.
Akwasi Asante pulled one back leaving their fans bewildered.
But how Simon Phillips evaluate the performance of the Blues?
Marcus Bettinelli – 7 years old
He had VERY little work to do but what he had to do he did a great job and did an excellent job on his Chelsea debut. Looks very secure, comfortable and influential for Chelsea.
Callum Hudson-Odoi – 8
Scored a fantastic goal for Chelsea and really thrived against weaker opponents. Things are really positive from him as he looks forward to advancing every opportunity from the unfamiliar left-back position.
Andreas Christensen – 7
Did well in tracking and getting a header for Chelsea, but he clearly had little work to do in the back but did well with whatever he needed.

Malang Sarr – 8
He is thriving in central defence and really takes his role seriously, is always forward and is really calm on the ball, making things happen for Chelsea from deep.
Lewis Hall – 9
What a debut for this guy. 17 years old and Chelsea’s best player. He was quick, aggressive, up and down, great tackles and was heavily involved in Chelsea’s three goals in attack.
Hakim Ziyech – 6
He was probably one of the more quiet players for Chelsea in the first half and couldn’t find his way into the game.
He had some good contributions that were sometimes not as lively as we expected. Made a pretty good penalty in the second half.
Mateo Kovacic – 8
Playing only 45 minutes but he has excelled for Chelsea once again, controlling everything they do and a creative spark in midfield.
Saul Niguez – 7
There was a silly early booking and at least a bit quieter than most in the first half, but he did his job well, handled well, and felt comfortable and secure in the hand. shadow.
Christian Pulisic – 6
Much like Ziyech, he played very quietly for Chelsea in the first half and did not really take advantage of the opponent’s counter-attack.
He’s done some good things and looks like a threat, but by far Chelsea’s best player.
Romelu Lukaku – 6
Scoring was good but to be honest, he should have scored more with some big chances that he should have buried.
He’s done the most but certainly not the best Lukaku we’ve seen so often.
Timo Werner – 6
Again, he was in the right place at the right time for his goal in the first half and worked very hard, but he was not the best performer in the first 45 against a weak opponent. when you think he will thrive.
SUBS
Ruben Loftus-Cheek for Kovacic (HT) – 8
Has come and made a splash from midfield for Chelsea, even being given the captain’s armband for the first time in his senior career.
Kai Havertz for Lukaku (HT) – 7
Lively and holding the ball a lot, trying to make a difference in attack.
Lewis Baker for Christensen (58 minutes) – 7
A player who is so naturally relaxed that he rushes in and looks out of the ordinary, is a great guest for Baker.
Harvey Vale for Pulisic (58 minutes) – 7
Very talented player who always looks like a threat every time he has the ball.
Ross Barkley for Hudson-Odoi (65 minutes) – 6
Get on the field and almost immediately score with a pretty good long shot. Look alive.
