Leslie Jordan Reveals Surprising Previous Job in MTV Episode ‘Cribs’, Filmed Before Death

Welcome to Leslie Jordan’s crib.

Before his untimely death last month, the 67-year-old actor allowed cameras into his home for an episode of MTV’s hit new series Cribs.

The episode has yet to air in its entirety, but in a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight, the Will and Grace star shows off some monogrammed pillows in a bedroom.

“Everything in the South is monogrammed,” joked the funny Tennessee native. “Honey, my panties are monogrammed.”

Next, Jordan headed to a display of images that captured his days as a racehorse — a revelation that might be unexpected for many fans.

“A lot of people don’t know this, but when I was 19 I decided I wanted to be a jockey with thoroughbred racehorses… I grew a mustache. I wasn’t really completely out,” pointed out the since then openly gay actor.

“I didn’t want everyone on the track to know I was gay. Hello – as if I could hide that!” he explained with a laugh.

The new episode of Cribs, starring Jordan, airs Thursday, November 17 at 9 p.m.

The funny man also made a posthumous appearance on HGTV’s Celebrity IOU on Monday alongside Drew and Jonathan Scott, aka the Property Brothers.

Jordan decided to surprise his 40-year-old friends Rosemary and Newell Alexander, who helped him overcome addiction problems when he first moved to Los Angeles, with a lavish remodel of his home.

“I’ve had some issues with alcohol, a little bit of drug use,” Jordan explained to the brothers as they drove to the house, per Yahoo! Entertainment.

“I’ve been clean and sober for 25 years, but they were also instrumental in that because they never judged me. They’ve always been so supportive,” he added.

“They said pick someone from your past who helped you and got you through tough times — I’ll cry — and that’s why we’re going to repeat things,” Jordan told the couple upon arriving at their home. “We go so far back. They are family.”

Jordan died on October 24 when he crashed his BMW into a building in Los Angeles. He is said to have suffered a heart attack.

He was reportedly so short of breath in the weeks leading up to his death that he made an appointment with a doctor, which he was unable to keep.
