Leslie Ben-lesau disappears after meeting someone on OkCupid

A California woman disappeared after meeting someone on the OkCupid dating app two weeks ago, her devastated family said – as they desperately sought help from the public to track her down.

“Every day it feels like there’s another moment when something could happen to her. Our family is breaking up right now. We can’t eat. We can’t — hardly sleep,” Khandaria Alexander told Fox 40 of her missing Sacramento sister Leslie Ben-Iesau.

Another sister, Caroline Ben-Iesau, said: “She told me someone was going to pick her up. And she would keep me posted. She would keep in touch and let me know. And that’s the last I heard from her.”

Leslie’s cell phone provider told the family on Tuesday that there had been no activity on their service since 8:45am on April 15, when they were last heard from.

“If anyone uses this site, OkCupid, I want them to get in touch if they have any information about someone named Bea. That would really help my family or call the Sacramento police,” Alexander told the news outlet.

Police told Fox 40 that there was no evidence of foul play in Leslie’s disappearance. Her family told the outlet that she had mental health issues.

According to the police, there is still no evidence of third-party debt.

Caroline said she was alarmed when Leslie didn’t respond to her messages.

“She would have at least turned on her phone. Even if she didn’t always answer immediately. She would have her phone on,” she told Fox 40, adding that her sister apparently even turned off her device on her birthday last weekend.

“When her birthday came I texted her again and by midday without her opening the door, turning on her phone or texting us or anything, I knew something was wrong,” Caroline told the broadcaster.

“Leslie, when you see this, when you see this, you’ll know we’re looking for you. We love you. We want you to come home. And hope you’re safe. And see you soon,” Caroline said.
