Proud Poirot actor Sir David Suchet knelt to be knighted by Prince William yesterday.
The star, who has played the Belgian scammer 70 times on ITV, missed the ceremony in December with Covid.
Sir David, 75 years old, said the honor was his “proudest moment”.
He said: “I was knighted on stage and it just doesn’t compare!
“And there won’t be any cameras saying ‘Cut, let’s do it again’.
“It’s the most extraordinary feeling and it’s very surreal.”
Sir David added: “My OBE is with the Queen at Buckingham Palace, my CBE is Prince Charles.
“And now my chivalry is with the Duke of Cambridge, so I’ve got the Queen Her Majesty and two future kings, which is really humbling and completely unexpected.”
Sir David, who was in Windsor Castle with his wife Sheila Ferris, has been recognized for his services to drama and charity.
