Lawmakers are searching for a man accused of stabbing his wife in Atascocita, northeast Harris County

Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies said that at the time of the stabbing, a child was in the home on the 17500 block of Holroyd near Merrylands in Atascocita.
The woman’s body was found in the foyer of the home.
MPs responded to the House for a gun jamming call around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
They found a woman between 20 and 22 years old dead with a stab wound, according to investigators.
MPs said there was a fight between the woman and her husband before the stabbing.
The husband ran away from home, and now there is an active search to find him.
MPs said the couple do not own the house and they are only staying there with relatives.
At the time of the stabbing, six other adults and one child, a 7-year-old owned by the homeowners, were inside the home, lawmakers said.
Investigators said none of them were witnesses.
“There was a search for this individual with negative results,” said Sgt. Greg Pinkins said.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the suspect was 27 years old, 5 feet tall, weighed 150 pounds and was wearing a black floral shirt and green camouflage pants.
MPs said it was unclear exactly what the pair fought over.
