Laundrie went on holiday knowing he killed Gabby Petito: suit

Gabby Petito’s family filed an expanded lawsuit against Brian Laundrie’s parents, alleging they went on vacation with their son despite knowing he killed the 22-year-old Long Island native and the whereabouts of her body, such a local report.

The amended complaint was filed in Sarasota County after a judge there found a “procedural violation” in the lawsuit originally filed in March by Joe Petito and Nichole Schmidt against Chris and Roberta Laundrie, a local NBC affiliate reported.

Specifically, according to the report, the new lawsuit alleges the laundries took Brian to a Florida campground in September 2021 despite knowing he killed Gabby, the report said.

The lawsuit alleges that the laundries also knew the location of Gabby’s body, which went missing for almost a month until authorities located it in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park.

“While Gabrielle Petito’s family was suffering, the Laundrie family vacationed at Fort DeSoto Park on September 6-7, 2021,” the lawsuit states, the report said.

“They went on holiday knowing that Laundrie had murdered Gabrielle Petito. It is believed that they knew where her body was and they also knew that Gabrielle Petito’s parents were trying to locate her,” she adds.

According to the report, the lawsuit provides no evidence of how they knew the laundries knew the whereabouts of Gabby’s body. Her lawyer declined to comment in an email to The Post Friday.

On September 19, Gabby’s body was found at the Wyoming campground. A coroner later ruled that she had been bludgeoned and choked to death. The FBI didn’t directly say Brian murdered her, but they determined that he was the only suspect in her death.

Shortly after Brian returned to his parents’ home in North Port, Florida, he went missing from a vast wildlife sanctuary until his remains were found in late October. It was later determined that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
