Murray sends emotional message

Andy Murray nearly brought table tennis player Dylan Alcott to tears with an emotional line.

Alcott lost his final match in the final to Sam Schroder of the Netherlands 7-5 6-0.

And after serving with his racket for the last time, Alcott revealed that Murray was messing with him.

Alcott said: “I hope he doesn’t mind this, but Andy Murray just texted me: ‘I don’t know if I made that clear, but you are an absolute rock star and is an inspiration. Thanks for all you’ve done’

“It kills me. Makes me want to cry. Special. You’re a part of it. Just a part of it. It’s like I don’t even care that you’re in a wheelchair. They don’t give one. ****.”
