A BOMB team was called in after a suspicious package was found on an MTA bus in Los Angeles.
Several vehicles of the bomb squad were present at the scene as the bus was carefully taped.
The incident was reported on Vermont Avenue, south of Hollywood Boulevard.
Police told The Sun they were called around 2:30 p.m. to a suspicious package on the bus.
“Our perimeter is a few blocks, which is very time consuming, has to isolate the entire area and make sure there is no traffic.
“The bomb squad is here now.”
It is not clear if the threat is credible but both police and the fire department were on the scene as the investigation continued.
Cars are being blocked from the area when the police set up a siege. People were quick to take to social media as the scene unfolded.
“My corner is so much fun,” wrote one resident who posted pictures of police cars and bomb squad cars in front of their compound.
Another resident wrote that helicopters were flying around the area while police were holding vehicles and pedestrians.
“All roads remain blocked,” they wrote.
