Garson, who played Stanford Blatch on the US television series, died of pancreatic cancer in September at the age of 57.
Davis and Cynthia Nixon appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (December 7), where they were asked how they would miss Garson.
Holding Davis’ hand, Nixon said that Garson could “light up any situation,” saying: “He’s a man of incredible stories, embodying business stories and life stories. his own weirdness.”
Davis said that their co-stars were “full of fun and incredibly brilliant and intelligent”.
Nixon said that when they were told he was sick, they had a few days to talk to him about it, and Davis had tears in his eyes.
“But it’s hard,” Davis said. “I wish he was here, you know?”
