King Charles wants to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the coronation

King Charles will invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to his coronation, despite the couple’s new Netflix docuseries containing fresh attacks on the royal family.

Buckingham Palace insiders have told the DailMail that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can expect invitations to attend the historic event at Westminster Abbey on May 6th.

“Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him. Even though things are difficult at the moment, the door will always remain ajar,” an insider told the outlet.

Another said it was “unlikely” that the invite would be withdrawn in the coming months, even with the release of Harry’s forthcoming memoir, Spare.

The palace told the outlet that the guest list for the coronation has not yet been compiled.

Harry and Meghan made a plethora of allegations in their Netflix series, which has risen to #1 on the platform for each release of its two parts.

In the recent publication, the couple claimed Prince William leaked stories about her to the press and that his brother pushed him “out of the family”.

Harry also claimed King Charles and Prince William yelled at him when he told them he was moving to the US with Meghan.

“It was terrifying to see my brother yelling and yelling at me and my dad saying things that just weren’t true and my grandmother sitting still and kind of taking it all in,” Harry said on the show.

In the first half of the series, Harry claimed he was “literally raised” by his so-called “second family” in Africa after his father left him after Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

Buckingham Palace has not responded to the new allegations. Sources said the company does not want to engage in a fight over who has the “final say” and would rather maintain the “dignity” of silence.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may still be invited to the big event, they may not get a warm welcome.

After the first part of the documentary aired, British politicians, military officials and historians urged Harry and Meghan not to attend the coronation, whether they receive an invitation or not.

“They make money selling their family downriver. I think it should be made clear that the British people don’t want them there,” said former cabinet minister and Tory veteran David Mellor, adding that Britons “would be perfectly entitled to boo if the couple showed up “.

Author and historian Lady Antonia Fraser said the couple would inadvertently draw attention from King Charles and Camilla, the Queen Consort, if they attended.

“It worries me that the cameras might waste time on them when they come. They should hold hands in Hollywood,” Fraser said.

Harry and Meghan have yet to indicate if they would attend if invited.

“It would be totally hypocritical but not entirely surprising if they did, let’s just say,” a Palace insider said.

Coronation efforts were going full steam ahead, the DailyMail said.

St. Edward’s Crown is adjusted to the King’s size and Camilla is believed to have chosen her crown.
