North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has boasted that he will “shake the world” with more missile tests.
‘Rocket Man’ Kim, 38, also accused the Hermit Kingdom of being one of the few countries on earth that is prepared to stand up to the US, claiming his nuclear weapons have “the US within range “.
And in an even more proud moment, the dictator Tinpot, who had looked shriveled and sickly in recent picturessays his country is one of the few in the world that has a wide range of advanced weapons.
The supreme leader declared hydrogen bombs, intercontinental ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles, which can evade US missile detection systems, in his arsenal.
In a chilling statement from North Korea’s foreign ministry, it warned how a flurry of tests since the new year represents “remarkable achievements”.
They also claimed that the tests had strengthened North Korea’s “war deterrence capability,” and suggested more to follow.
“In today’s world where many countries waste time dealing with the United States with blind submission and obedience,” the ministry said.
“Only our own country on this planet can shake the world by firing a missile at the US mainland within its range.
“There are more than 200 countries in the world, but only a few have hydrogen bombs, intercontinental ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles.”
The statement came as North Korea conducted a record seven missile tests in January alone.
Tests last month showed Kim launched the Hwasong-15, the longest-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in North Korea’s missile arsenal.
The Hwasong-15 is believed to have the range to carry a nuclear warhead anywhere in the United States.
Tests in January also saw the first firing of the Hwasong-12 medium-range ballistic missile since 2017, which is capable of hitting US territories in the Pacific.
The tests also saw a new “hypersonic missile” launched by North Korea, which can maneuver at high speeds and change direction, as opposed to conventional missiles that fly in orbit.
China launched a similar rocket in July 2021.
The launch caught the US Pentagon off guard when it admitted it was unaware of China’s progress in its missile program.
Tensions have spiked after a record month of North Korea’s ballistic missile test, which has long been banned by the United Nations Security Council.
In a statement following the missile chaos, a State Department spokesman told Reuters news agency that the United States had “an important interest” in preventing “provocative action” from North Korea.
“The United States has an important interest in deterring (North Korea), defending against provocations or using force, limiting the reach of its most dangerous weapons programs,” they said. …
“And above all, keep the American people, deployed forces, and our allies safe.
The spokesman added that the US has no intention of being hostile towards North Korea and called for a return to dialogue, which Pyongyang has always ignored.
The United States on Monday ordered the Supreme Leader to cancel all of his missile programs and put the needs of his people first, amid the famine that ravaged the country last year.
In a viral propaganda documentary that came out last week, The needle is said to be “completely withered”.
In the footage, North Korea claims he’s so weakened from working so hard for his country that he can’t go downstairs.
Kim’s family has a long history of heart disease and diabetes, his father officially passed away from a heart attack.
