Kevin Durant Transfer Rumours – Boston Joins the Race with the Proposition around Brown

Amid trade talks, it appears that Kevin Durant is the prospective player desired by Boston Celtics, reportedly. “Regular contact has been made, but it appears no closer to acquiring Durant than others.” – ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said about the Celtics contacting the Nets concerning trade.

The teams frequently mentioned are Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and the Toronto Raptors. “Discussions with the Celtics are not fresh talks and the discussion is probably weeks old”, said ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on 98.7. What could give Boston Celtics a boost is the team’s capability to handle Jaylen Brown should the conversations about the trade get steamy. It might place the team as a favourite at the top online bookmakers.

The Trade Talks

According to the Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, circulating talks is that Brown, Derrick White and a confidential draft pick are on offer for Durant. A retaliation by the Nets is that they are requesting draft picks, Brown, Marcus Smart and another revolving player. Boston has commented severely about including Smart.

If we’re looking at favourites to include and land Durant, it is most likely the Celtics. Regardless of their association with Smart in trade discussions. We can forget about the Suns who were at some point in the lead as the front-runners. After they’ve had to tone with the Indiana pacer’s suggestion sheet to Deandre Ayton, they are fundamentally out of trade talks.

The Heat

Considering Phoenix’s logical reluctance to let go of Devin Booker, the perfect package for the team would have been to incorporate a sign-and-trade of Ayton. Because of the restricting NBA rules which forbid teams from dealing with more than one player per contract, the Nets were not able to get Bam Adebayo and Simmons on their register. Especially since the two are appointed beginner extensions. The addition of Durant wouldn’t automatically turn the Raptors into a favourite for the NBA finals.

The team’s most alluring trade chip is the newcomer of the year, Scottie Barnes, even though the Toronto team exhibits no signs of availing the player. The Celtics are the team with the best player at the moment, and it helps that he is accessible to the Nets in trade conversations. Brown finally sees an opportunity to lead since he’s been a 20-point scorer for three consecutive seasons and will be turning 26yrs in October.

The Best Player

The player alluded to feeling deprecated by fans when he liked a tweet about a month ago, particularly because of his irregular involvement in trade talks. The speculation around that is that it is most likely that the player is considering leaving Boston, even though the team just recently came out of an NBA final appointment.

Even though the Celtics recently offered him to Brooklyn, chances are his itch won’t be scratched. It would come as no surprise if Brown went in search of a new home before the next season, whether or not the Celtics successfully land Durant. Left with a couple of years on his contract, Brown has the advantage to force a deal, should the disrespect ensue.

Interesting Facts

There is only one month left with Kevin Durant’s trade recommendation drama, and yet things continue to get more heated. It was an early Monday morning when Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN presented us with his comment reporting that the Celtics are in on the discussions to include the all-star victor Jaylen Brown.

In a matter of hours after the announcement, Shams Charania from the Athletics said that the Celtics had previously provided a package evolving around Brown’s appointment and that the franchise was appearing as intimidation in obtaining Durant. It’s currently obvious that Brooklyn is in no haste to move Durant, as they remain solid about their expensive asking price for one of the best players in the game.

With Durant being offered more deals by various suitors, the Celtics are giving the Nets more to chew on over the trade discussions. After weeks of guesswork around which teams were most favourable in landing Durant, by comparing trade packages that could be put together, there still is no telling which way the boat will sail.
