Kelly Clarkson Sings ‘Merry Christmas Baby’: Watch – Billboard

Kelly Clarkson Dive into her own Christmas above song book Performances by Kelly Clarkson on Tuesday (December 14) with a performance of “Merry Christmas Baby.”

Wearing a glittering gray robe, pop music singer assisted through the opening track of her new holiday album, As Christmas approaches…, which she co-wrote with Aben Eubanks.

“You’ll wake up alone and / Wonder why I’m not at home / And I’ll let my phone ring / A dose of your love and / I’ll let my absence show you / I what do you have for Christmas / Losing you / Merry Christmas, honey,” she retorted into the chorus while backed by a trio of backup singers and hit talk show band her, Y’all.

The song is just one of five Christmas songs originally written by American Idol champion on the new LP, which includes the lead single “Christmas Not Canceled (Just You)”, “Merry Christmas (To the One I used to Know)”, Chris Stapleton collab “Glow”, and the bop song supported by Ariana Grande “Santa, You Can’t Hear Me. The set also features holiday classics like ‘Starting to Look A Lot Like Christmas’, ‘Santa Baby’, ‘Last Christmas’ and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’.

To promote his second Christmas album, Clarkson even held his own special holiday celebration, Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes…, which premiered on NBC earlier this month.
