Kelly Clarkson covers Aerosmith’s ‘Crazy’ For Kellyoke – Billboard
Kelly Clarkson proved again on Tuesday (January 18) that her daily Kellyoke segment has no musical limits. The singer kicked off the week in style by diving into AerosmithThe 1994 titanic power ballad “Crazy,” gives the song a signature Texas soundtrack.
“I’m going crazy, baby, I’m going crazy / What can I do, baby / I feel like blue / I’m losing my mind / ‘Cause I’m going crazy,” she sings on The song’s swaying chorus was written by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry with Songwriters Hall of Fame legend Desmond Child. The song is the final single from Aerosmith’s hugely successful 11th album, Get a Grip, peaking at number 17 on Billboards Hot 100.
Clarkson’s Country pop music continues this track after equally crystalline covers of popular female singers last week, including “by Sharon Van Etten.”Doomsday, “By Alanis Morissette”Clean your hands‘ and The Pretenders’ classic 1995 rendition of Merrilee Rush’s ‘Morning Angel’.
In addition to the chart success, the video for Aerosmith’s “Crazy” has a spot in the stone so is history. When it was released in 1994, it was hugely popular on MTV thanks to the inclusion of Tyler’s 16-year-old daughter, Liv Tyler. Before becoming a famous actress, the teenage girl made her film debut alongside Alicia Silverstone, who completed her trilogy of videos for the band with the teen drama. remade outlawed Thelma & Louise.
