‘Keeps you grounded’: Blossoms had to clean own hotel rooms ahead of Glastonbury set

Blossoms said they had to clean their own hotel rooms ahead of their performance at Glastonbury Festival on Friday (June 24).
The Stockport indie group revealed they arrived at their hotel late last night (June 23) to be told only some of the rooms they had booked were ready.
Talking to Zoe Ball on BBC 2 breakfast show Live from Worthy Farm this morning, frontman Tom Ogden said it was “one of the worst trips” they’ve ever had.
“So, we’re not going to name the hotel, but we booked a hotel, paid for seven rooms, and when we got there at midnight, they said, ‘Four of the rooms are available, but three aren’t ready,'” Ogden said . corresponding Manchester evening news. “We said, ‘Give us the sheets, we’ll go and change them.'”
A shocked Ball replied: “You changed your own beds!”
“We changed our own beds,” Ogden confirmed. “I looked at everyone and we thought, ‘We’re playing Glastonbury on Friday, why is this happening to us?’ But you know what, it keeps you grounded, doesn’t it – changing beds in the hotel?”

During their Friday afternoon set on the Other stage, Blossoms were joined by Mel C to cover the Spice Girls’ “Spice Up Your Life.”
