‘Keep it up’: Joe Hart reacts to Tottenham’s news about the £22m player after Ange Postecoglou call

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has responded on Instagram to Ange Postecoglou’s call for Son Heung-min to be named Tottenham Hotspur’s next captain following the departure of Harry Kane.

The 31-year-old is Tottenham’s “Mr. Popular” and as soon as Harry Kane left the building, he was the obvious choice to wear the armband.

Now it has to be noted that Kane was not the Spurs’ captain, but Hugo Lloris, but it was already known before the start of the pre-season that the world champion goalkeeper would leave.

So it needed a new captain and everyone pointed to Kane, but the Bayern Munich talk was always on his mind so Ange Postecoglou couldn’t really make his final decision.

Now that the England captain is a Bayern Munich player, the Spurs boss has decided that Son Heung-min is the man who not only potentially leads the squad ahead of the new Premier League season, but also the squad leads outside.

Son expressed his delight Instagram on that call, with Joe Hart posting in the forward’s comments section Instagram Added “Go on Sonny” post with a heart emoji.

“A really special moment for me and my family,” said Son. “It’s an honor of my life to be named captain of our wonderful club. I’ll do anything to make you all proud.

“The season is here now. We have a great group of players and leaders, let’s make it an unforgettable experience.”

Postecoglou made the right decision

It may be that there are more vocal players in the dressing room or some who are punchier and more aggressive on the pitch, but that doesn’t seem like the way Postecoglou likes to express it.

It seems like he prefers the most popular player in the dressing room and fan favorite to the one who leads the team.

And Son is certainly, even when Kane was still at the club, just the £22million South Korean star (FourFourTwo) could rival Tottenham’s all-time top scorer in terms of popularity, now he alone tops the list.
