Katie said she made a commitment to see a therapist after receiving mental health treatment at the Priory Centre.

She added: “I’ve now decided to see a therapist every week for the rest of my life and put my hand up and say, ‘Yes, I need help, help me’.

“So despite the circumstances, I’m still alive. Yes, there are consequences for what I did but I just want to breathe.

“My home is now becoming a family home that I couldn’t focus on before for many years.

“And now I’m making it back to my home, my center, it’s all about the future and moving to the next stage, is what I do. And that way I’m so much happier. .”
