Katherine Ryan tells Louis Theroux the ‘open secret’ of alleged sexual abuse

Katherine Ryan has offered further comments about an alleged sex offender in the entertainment industry, claiming he’s an “open secret”.

Earlier this year, the Canadian comedian accused a female comedian of being a sexual predator and said she repeatedly called him on the set of an unidentified TV show.

Talking to Louis Theroux on Tuesday (November 22nd) episode of his self-titled BBC Two series, Louis Theroux InterviewsRyan shared her belief that the alleged perpetrator was a “sexual assault perpetrator.”

“It’s very dangerous for us to have this conversation,” the former 8 out of 10 cats panelist said.

“I’m glad to have it, but it’s a contentious minefield because a lot of people have tried to pin this person for their alleged crimes and this person has very good lawyers, so I’m going to put my mortgage on the line by saying.” who that person is, or have those conversations?”

She added, “We’ve seen what happens to people who talk about supposed predators.”

Ryan reiterated that “it’s not my story” as “no one has committed any sexual assault against me.”

“But this person, I believe very strongly — a lot of people believe very strongly — is an open secret, is a perpetrator of sexual assault,” she continued.

“I told that person to his face in the format of the show in front of a lot of people that he’s a predator.”

When Ryan first shared the allegations with Sara Pascoe on her Prime Video series Backstage with Katherine RyanShe said at the time: “It’s such a mess because I have no evidence.”
