Kate Middleton’s mum has revealed the special party favors the Duchess has created for babies and first birthdays

THE past two years have not been easy for anyone, especially entrepreneurs – and Carole Middleton is no exception.
In an exclusive interview, Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole, revealed the challenges her business has faced and how the family has helped along the journey. SheerLuxe reports.
The 67-year-old who runs party piecesexplained that the idea for the store came about while preparing for Kate’s fifth birthday, when all she could find were “a few simple ‘clown’ plates”.
“I realized there was a niche in the market for party supplies that weren’t too expensive, looked good and gave a special touch.
“Being a mother meant I understood how children’s parties worked from the perspective of the parents who organize them and the children who want to have a good time.
Determined to “make it as easy as possible for parents to throw the perfect party for their kids,” Carole set out to start the business with her husband, Michael.

“It’s so important to have a supportive partner or family.”
In the beginning, the two of them did everything themselves – from taking orders through to delivery.
“The children were often there after school too.
“Partyware was a relatively new idea at the time, so we worked hard to build our customer base, mostly relying on the occasional letter or phone call for feedback.”
Now years later the brand has evolved from just selling children’s products – Party Pieces also curates festive pieces for all types of events including milestone birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings and babies.
The brand has not forgotten other special occasions such as baptism.

“If you have friends and family helping host the party, make sure everyone knows what their job is!
“If they’re the social type, ask them to get people talking and make sure nobody’s left without someone to talk to.
“You can instantly create an atmosphere by bringing seasonal flowers or everlasting flowers; Candlelight works for evening parties and fun centerpieces for children’s parties.
”Make a party look amazing and you’re halfway to a good time.”
