Kate Hudson teases the “Easter Egg” in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Kate Hudson has revealed which “Easter Eggs” audiences should look out for while watching Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Rian Johnson’s sequel to his critically acclaimed 2019 crime thriller launches December 23 on Netflix and returns with Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc. This time he’s tasked with solving a murder that occurs on the Greek private island of tech billionaire Miles Bron.

In the latest episode of diversity is actor over actor, Hudson spoke up Top Gun: Maverick’s Glen Powell on the challenges they faced while filming their latest projects during Covid.

“It took over a year to actually shoot the movie,” Powell said of his Tom Cruise-directed action film. “Tom is a perfectionist, so he said, ‘We have to get it right.’ And I saw the movie, and then Covid happened, and I was like, ‘Oh man, we’re sitting on this awesome thing.'”

Top Gun: Maverick was originally scheduled to hit theaters in June 2020, but the pandemic delayed the final release date by almost two years (May 2022).

“Tom called it out – he Babe Ruthed it. He said, “This movie is good enough where we just have to wait until this pandemic is over.” But you know what it’s like,” Powell said.

Powell then highlighted and noted Covid’s influence on Hudson’s film glass onion “also incorporated masks”.

“The masks in this film are an Easter egg for who all these people are. Each person is really who they are in the way they wear their mask,” Hudson said.

Discussing the challenge of “grounding” her “flamboyant” character, Birdie, she said, “In a situation like that, a character can get very airy and have no substance.

“When you ground characters like that, you become more empathetic with them and you kind of connect with them. She is so deeply in search of validation and love. And she’s really not that smart. Their way of being seen or acknowledged rebounds on them.”
