Kanye West Working on ‘Donda’ Sequel: Report – Billboard

If you don’t get enough Donda the first time around when Ye (formerly known as ) Kanye West) dropped a collection of 26 songs named for his late mother, sit tight for more Donda maybe around the corner. Complicated reported that Ye has begun cooking a gold-certified album sequel, with GOOD Music CEO / A&R Universal Music Group Senior Executive Steven Victor telling the outlet that Ye has “started working on his new masterpiece.”

At press time, a spokesman for West has not returned Billboardsrequested comment on the report, and there doesn’t appear to be a timetable for Donda 2 release. The rapper, who has a long list of unreleased projects alongside his 10 official studio albums, has not publicly discussed what will be the first next album in his catalog.

After several delays and missed release dates, Donda finally dropped on August 29, 20221, after a series of listening parties at a packed stadium in which West played the still-in-progress collection, the song and the guest list continued changes before and after release. Original Donda features a host of guests, including Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, The Weeknd as well as controversial contributions from Marilyn Manson and DaBaby.

Although there are no confirmed guests for the new project, but videotapes posted last week depicts West, wearing gray jeans, a matching hoodie and a black glove, typing on a studio keyboard with frequent collaborator Geto Boys member and rocking solo star Scarface head on background.
