Kamala goes for energy, Eric Adams changes his attitude towards migrants – and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
this assertion:
“[David Weiss’ special-counsel appointment] is just another expression of the true independence of this Department of Justice.”
– Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), Sunday
We say: In a way, Goldman is right: When it comes to the DOJ’s Biden corruption investigation, there is NO “Independence” at all, and AG Merrick Garland’s decision to hire US Attorney David Weiss as Special Counsel reflects that – for there was no “independence” in that either.
Weiss has already proven that he will work to protect the Bureau from scrutiny, so Garland felt he could be trusted.
If the AG were really interested in an independent investigation, they would have picked someone who doesn’t work for them.
spot the difference:
“[New York is] a city of immigrants. . . a destination of diversity and a place where people of all nations seek refuge.”
— Then-mayoral candidate Eric Adams, June 2021
vs.
“You come to New York City and we are to feed, clothe and house you as long as you wish. . . . That’s just not sustainable.”
— Mayor Adams, August 9th

We say: What a change of tone! Before Adams assumed responsibility for the 100,000 migrants who flooded Gotham, he was only too happy to welcome anyone who wanted to come.
Now that He You have to house them and find billions to fund their expenses, he sings a different song.
Give him some credit, though: his change of heart is more than can be said about the man in the White House who caused the nightmare in the first place.
this challenge:
“Tell me one goal we’ve ever set and failed to achieve! Name me one!”
– President Biden, Wednesday
We say: Oops! Yes, the Prez was right when he praised America’s “can-do” spirit, but Did he have to ask that specific question? just as the nation marked the second anniversary of its botched withdrawal from Afghanistan – when the Taliban took power, 13 US soldiers were killed and America was humiliated on the world stage?
Surely The couldn’t have been the “goal”.

That boast:
“One of our highest priorities back then was to reduce energy costs.”
– Vice President Kamala Harris, Tuesday
We say: “Lower” Cost? Please.
The Biden-Harris climate agenda is geared towards that raise Cost, on the (ridiculous) theory that it pays to save the planet.
and it has increased them: The average US household has paid $2,300 more for energy since Biden took office, according to the Heartland Institute.
The problem is that the planet is not remotely endangered – and even if it were, these measures would not save it.
