Julia Fox says she was ‘delusional’ while dating Kanye West and reveals feelings towards Kardashians
Julia Fox is for the girls.
In her latest TikTok, the model-actress gave her 1.3million followers a glimpse into her relationship with Kanye West, now known as Ye, amid rising controversy.
The ‘Uncut Gems’ star now claims her short-lived romance with the ‘Donda’ artist was an attempt to distract him from his ‘obsession’ with ex Kim Kardashian.
In response to a comment accusing her of dating a “violent misogynist and anti-Semite,” Fox, 32, explained why she ever linked up with the 45-year-old rapper, claiming he dated behave “normally” around them.
“I was about to write about it in my book and let you all buy it, but I’m just telling you guys for free,” she joked at the beginning of the clip, which was posted Monday morning. “The man behaved normally around me.”
She even revealed her love for the Kardashian family, recalling when she bought and sold their clothes in their stores a decade ago when Fox, known for her daring fashion sense, had her own clothing line.
“I always had a special love for Kim,” she continued on TikTok, highlighting the “big three” — Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian — as her “girls.”
“Until me and [West] together, it was like he hadn’t done anything out there yet. The only thing he did was change the name on the song and say, ‘Come back to me Kimberly,'” she added.
The Post has reached out to West’s reps for comment on Fox’s latest viral confession.
At the time the unlikely pair dated, West was freshly split from Kim, with whom he shares four children, and was healing his heartbreak with an unhealthy dose of social media rampages.
Since the infamous split, West has, with a little too much time on his hands, tiraded his ex-wife and her than-beau, comedian Pete Davidson, in several posts.
But his hateful tirades weren’t exclusive to his family – he’s recently received backlash for his anti-Semitic comments. After calling for “Death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” last month, the rapper was suspended from his Twitter account until November 20.
His offensive tweets followed his show at Paris Fashion Week, during which he donned a T-shirt that read “White Lives Matter,” a slogan often attributed to white supremacists, alongside controversial political commentator Candace Owens. According to insiders, it has since been claimed that “skinheads and Nazis were his biggest inspiration”.
Fox, who previously claimed West was “harmless,” now claims the rapper bombarded her with messages she rarely replied to, leading to him accusing her of having “bad text etiquette.”
“I was like, ‘Oh my god, Kanye is yelling at me, what should I do?’ She continued. “But then I had this thought and I was like, ‘Oh my god, maybe I can get him out of Kim’s case.’ Like, ‘Maybe I can distract him and get him to like me.’ “
Fox thought to himself, “If anyone can do it, I can.” Fox and her doer attitude were hell-bent on making West fall in love with her in order to save Kim. Who would have thought?
“I will say that during the month we have been together he has not been on Twitter, especially he has not been on any form of social media. He didn’t even talk about his relationship,” she said. “We were really just talking about clothes and such weird ideas and plans for the future and our hopes and dreams for childhood and education.”
“It was really nice,” she said, but of course there was a catch to dating the artist. “The moment he started tweeting, I was out.”
When the media reported on her spark, she claimed it had already fizzled.
“I knew pretty quickly that he wasn’t going to accept my help,” she admitted. “I sounded almost as stupid as you guys when I said there was something I should have done to stop him from saying…like what?”
This fall, she told ES Magazine that she’s “proud” of how she’s handled her romantic relationship with the rapper, who she claims had “unresolved issues” at the time.
Though she “deeply respects” West as an artist and doesn’t want to reduce his accomplishments to his “bad moments,” she ended her TikTok by denouncing his hateful online rants.
“Nevertheless, I stand by the Jewish community,” she explained.
Her devout online fans heaped praise on the model, saying her memoir was “gossiping” and that they “appreciated” her explanation.
“That’s a great explanation, but women should never have to excuse or explain their ex’s behavior! Love you queen,” one user commented.
“None of us are immune to the ‘I can fix it’ mentality,” wrote another. “God bless your honesty, you are a legend.”
“I love your openness and transparency so much Julia, you are a national treasure,” agreed another.
Fox, who has publicly stated that she was never “in love” with West, has turned the impact of the relationship on its head. Earlier this year, the model claimed that dating the rapper was the “best thing” for her career, despite all his flaws.
“It kind of brought back a spark into my life that I kind of forgot,” she previously said.
But all that glitters isn’t gold – Fox claimed this month that she faces a lack of acting offers post-romance.
“After the big relationship, I’ve definitely noticed a change in acting, not in a good way,” she said on fellow model Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast. “Oddly, I don’t get as many offers as I used to. Achieving this level of notoriety has come with a lot of strange downsides.”
