Judge Robert Rinder has mused about meeting Harry Styles at the gym, calling their encounter “the worst social car crash ever.”
The ITV daytime star said he was “starstruck” when he noticed the former One Direction singer on a treadmill next to him at the gym.
“No one looks at anyone in my gym, so I just thought there was a homeless girl running next to me,” he said The Telegraph. “And then I had a moment of epiphany: It was Harry Styles.
“He grew into a real artist, and when I saw him afterwards, I was oddly impressed. We ended up engaging in conversation and all I can say is that it was the worst social car crash ever.”
Rinder added: “He hugged me because he had to stop it. It was like an act of social euthanasia.”
The TV judge said things don’t usually go well when he meets people he admires because he acts like a “crazy fan” for “the first 10 minutes” and tells them he’s “read every interview and everything.” seen that they’ve ever done on YouTube”.
Styles is currently starring in the psychological thriller don’t worry darlingalongside Florence Pugh.
