Jonathan Ross Says He Wouldn’t Interview ‘Terrible Man’ Matt Hancock After I’m a Star

Jonathan Ross has said Matt Hancock is “not a celebrity” despite the politician currently starring I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!

Ross also ruled out an interview with the former health secretary on his talk show of the same name.

“No, I wouldn’t [interview him]. He’s not a celebrity,” the presenter said people on Sunday.

“He’s a terrible person and I can’t stand how people don’t take responsibility for their actions.”

Ross added of the West Suffolk MP: “He was very bad when he was in office and he’s – remarkably – even worse now that he’s out!”

However, Ross admitted he’s “enjoyed” the series so far, saying he’s “more impressed with the women than the men.”

Hancock has come under intense scrutiny from fellow politicians and the Tory whip for joining the reality show at a time when Parliament is in session.

Meanwhile, television watchdog Ofcom has received thousands of complaints from viewers about the MP’s appearance on the show.

His arrival on the show was met with mixed reactions from his celebrity housemates, with Boy George weeping on camera and Charlene White chiding the politician over his decision to desert his Suffolk constituents.

Hancock has also been questioned by his housemates for breaching his own Covid social distancing guidelines during the pandemic. He was caught on camera in his ministerial office hugging his assistant and now girlfriend Gina Coladangelo.
