Jonas Brothers Explain How As Siblings They Make Sure Singing About Sex Isn’t Weird

Once known as a band of brothers with purity rings, the Jonas Brothers have evolved – and so has their music.

The Jonas Brothers (Kevin, Joe and Nick) embark on a worldwide tour that will see them play five of their albums in one night. They talk about how they sing about sex after they are all married and have kids.

“It’s natural to talk about your life and where you are right now. “This is my wife and a partner in crime for 13 years, you know,” 35-year-old Kevin Bustle shared of how his marriage to his wife Danielle inspired the group’s music.

“We are always aware that we are three brothers singing together on stage. So when we’re talking about sex specifically, it has to be a nuanced thing, otherwise it can be a little weird,” added Nick, 30.

“Obviously we’re not doing these songs as a duet,” shares 33-year-old Joe. “Very individual singing in it.”

Nick has been married to actress Priyanka Chopra since 2018.

Joe has been married to Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner since 2019.

Kevin, Nick and Joe thank all of their spouses for also giving them sound advice when needed.

“All of our wives helped us pick ‘Sucker’ as the first single in the last round, which was a pretty big decision,” Nick said, giving an example of just how valuable Danielle, Priyanka and Sophie can be.

“They are our best friends and our sounding board,” Kevin added.

Together as a group since 2005, the brothers split in 2013 for a variety of reasons and reunited in 2019.

Not only have their themes evolved over the years, but the men now have a better understanding of how to deal with conflict.

“We’ve gotten pretty used to having to resolve arguments or frustrations in environments where there are tons of people, because there are always tons of people. And most of the time, it’s as simple as walking into another room so the three of us can take a second to figure it out. But honestly, you know, we don’t argue that much. I think the older we get, the harder it gets to fight… So let’s just admit it.”
