Johnny Depp Warns Fans Against ‘Relenting’ Fake Social Media Accounts

Johnny Depp warns fans about scammers pretending to be him on social media.
In a lengthy Instagram story on Sunday — and now archived on his account under a highlight titled “PSA” — the Pirates of the Caribbean star wrote, “I’ve been made aware that there are fake accounts out there that. pretending to be me or people working with me.
“I don’t have any personal or secondary accounts on any platforms. These are the only sites run by me and my team where we share updates and communicate,” he added, listing his official accounts on multiple platforms.
“I urge you to remain cautious as these fake accounts can appear to be relentless. My team is working to combat the problem. Thank you for your continued support and for bringing this issue to my attention! Love and respect, JD X.”
Depp has been touring abroad with Jeff Beck since winning the defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard. He recently showed off a new, clean-shaven look to the audience at the Helsinki Blues Festival in Finland.
Meanwhile, Heard was spotted shopping in a TJ Maxx in the Hamptons. The 36-year-old actress, who owes Depp $10.4 million after the court ruling, is reportedly “broke” due to her legal fees and past lavish spending.

That could change, however, as a source OK! Magazine that the “Aquaman” star is in talks to write a “revenge” telly book as she has “nothing to lose” after the Depp case.
“Amber considers her career in Hollywood to be over. She’s already in talks and looking forward to it,” a source described as an “insider” told the magazine.
Despite the rumor, Heard knows she better tread lightly when discussing the Edward Scissorhands actor going forward. In her most recent hour-long Dateline interview, Heard said she was “terrified” that Depp might sue her again.
“I think that’s what a defamation suit is supposed to do,” she told NBC’s Savannah Guthrie. “It’s supposed to take your voice.”
