Johnny Depp: All celebs ‘didn’t like’ actor’s Instagram post celebrating Amber Heard’s trial win

Several Hollywood stars apparently disliked Johnny Depp’s Instagram post celebrating his trial win against Amber Heard.

Depp is suing Heard for $50m (£40.1m) for allegedly implying he abused her in 2018 Washington Post op ed. Although she did not give his name, he claims her allegations affected his ability to work.

Heard then filed a countersuit, accusing Depp of allegedly organizing a “smear campaign” against her and calling his own lawsuit a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”

In June, the jury announced their verdicts, finding that Heard had defamed Depp on all three counts.

She was asked to award him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard was found to have had a partial win in her case and was awarded $2 million (£1.6 million) in damages, but no punitive damages.

As the proceedings progressed — and Depp’s previous legal battle against The sun – a number of prominent celebrities offered their view of the couple, and a large number of Hollywood stars supported Depp in the form of Instagram likes.

After the pair shared related posts about the verdict, many famous people liked Depp’s post, with Heard in particular receiving much less support.

However, it is now reported that many of these celebrities are now disliking the post for unclear reasons.

The names were highlighted by Twitter users @k4mil1awho referenced the post with pre-existing lists compiled by Reddit users at the time.

Celebrities whose names previously appeared under the post but no longer appear include Elle Fanning, Bella Hadid, Orlando Bloom, Robert Downey Jr., Zoey Deutch, and Sophie Turner fast train Star Joey King.

Others who don’t seem to like Depp’s post include Jennifer Coolidge, Christina Hendricks, McKenna Grace, Riley Keough, Bruce Campbell, and Sam Fender.

Musician Fender came under fire after he shared a photo with Depp taken at a Newcastle pub on the same day the court verdict was announced. He further apologized for the “disrespectful” timing of the picture, under which he called Depp a “hero.”

The discovery of the apparent differences came after the unsealing of documents related to the case, which were not allowed to be dealt with in court.

Those documents contained several potentially damaging anecdotes about Depp that Heard’s team was not allowed to mention, and also included other quotes from video testimonies from famous people, including actor and Depp’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin.
