John Jansheski re-lists glamorous $68 million Star Island estate

Get two for the price of one! A glamorous Star Island, Florida estate featuring a historic century-old home and a modern glass mansion is back on the market for $68 million.
That is lower than the then record price of $90 million last year.
The listing comes shortly after Jeff Bezos paid $68 million for a nearby mansion on Indian Creek Island, where Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump also live.
The seller is John Jansheski, a dental products entrepreneur. Jansheski purchased the 2-acre property on 27 Star Island in 2011 for $10.75 million. At the time, the property housed a 7,000-foot, 1920s Mediterranean-style mansion designed by Walter DeGarmo.
In 2014, Jansheski moved the home 150 feet and also built an 18,000-square-foot modern mansion designed by South African architecture firm SAOTA.
The two homes feature 10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 100 feet of waterfront – and views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay.

Details in the main house include 21-foot ceilings, acoustically paneled walls, a bar and lounge, two media rooms, a 1,400-bottle wine storage area, and a chef’s kitchen. Retractable glass doors open to the outdoor pool, gym, sauna, bar, garden and dock.
Star Island consists of 30 waterfront homes in a gated community. Neighbors include Ken Griffin of hedge fund Citadel, who invested $75 million for a property on 8 Star Island in late 2021, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The stockbroker is Dina Goldentayer from Douglas Elliman also lists Cher’s former home on La Gorce Island for $42.5 million.
