Joe Rogan and Bad Bunny Lead Spotify Wrapped 2022 Playlists

It’s music to the ears of artists.

The 2022 edition of Spotify Wrapped was released on Wednesday, revealing listeners who and what got their heads bobbing to the most this year.

The audio platform’s annual collection of the most popular singers and podcasts topped the list with Bad Bunny, Joe Rogan and more.

The 28-year-old Latin trap crooner has amassed over 18.5 billion total streams so far this year, earning him the title of the world’s most-streamed artist. His record “Un Verano Sin Ti” was the most streamed album worldwide in 2022.

Other global superstars Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weeknd and K-pop stars BTS followed right behind him. While Harry Styles wasn’t in the top 5 artists, his song “As It Was” was the most streamed track both globally and in the US.

In the US alone, Bad Bunny was the third most streamed artist after Drake and Taylor Swift. Kanye West and The Weeknd completed the top five.

To celebrate Bad Bunny’s accomplishment, Spotify said it will be using him in several Wrapped 2022 promos along with various billboards and posters in cities across the US asking fans to find their most-streamed singer in a word search .

Spotify also gives a treat for the Puerto Rican star’s fans. When people like one of his songs on the app, the company’s green heart turns into Bad Bunny’s red heart logo.

As for podcasts, Rogan’s popular show of the same name topped the charts.

Alexandra Cooper’s radio show Call Her Daddy was also a hit this year, as was Emma Chamberlain’s Anything Goes.

A playlist of new podcasts with the highest streams in the first week was also recognized by the company.

Among the most famous were Meghan Markle’s Archetypes, David S. Goyer’s Batman Unbury, Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case of Kevin Keith, and Kristin Cavallari’s and Stephen Colletti’s Back to the Beach.

The audiobook that led the pack was iCarly star Jennette McCurdy’s memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died.
