Jimmy Buffett’s family consisted of two biological daughters and one adopted son

The death of popular American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett has caused great sadness among fans, while others are concerned about his children, Cameron Marley Buffett, Savannah Jane Buffett, Sarah Delaney Buffett, and Mrs. Jane Slagsvol.

A post on the singer’s social media reveals that Jimmy breathed his last on Friday, September 1st. It goes on to say that the musician was surrounded by his family, dogs and music when he died. Jimmy is best known for his 1977 song “Margaritaville,” which inspired his many businesses, including a restaurant chain, a casino, and more. His fans were known as the Parrot Heads. Not only did he have great success in his career, but he also had a family by his side that supported him through everything. Who are Jimmy Buffett’s children?

Jimmy was a father of three children. He shared all of his three children with his second wife, Jane Slagsvol, whom he married in 1977.

Jimmy and Jane shared two daughters, Sarah Delaney Buffett and Savannah Buffett. They adopted son Cameron Marley Buffett into their family after the birth of their two daughters. Therefore, Cameron is her only son.

Savannah is a popular American radio personality, best known as the host of the Savannah Daydreamin’ Radio Hour, which airs to date on Satellite’s Sirius/XM. Their website states that Savannah has since taken on an advisory role for music projects. She also runs her own clothing brand, A1A. As Per IMDb, her sister Sarah is a producer and director and has worked on projects like The Spring, My Astronaut, City of Angels and more.

While Jimmy’s youngest Cameron is very active on Instagram, it’s unknown what his occupation is. We know from his Instagram posts that Cameron is a married man.

Meet Jimmy Buffett’s wife, Jane Slagsvol

Jimmy has been married twice in his life. The singer was previously married to her ex-wife Margie Washichek. The couple were married for three years between 1969 and 1972.

He married Jane in 1977 and they remained together until Jimmy’s death. Jimmy and Jane first met in Key West, Florida in the early ’70s when the latter was a student at the University of South Carolina. He told In Time Magazine in 1998 he wrote that he “saw Jane in a tight, long pink dress that made a lasting impression on me”.

Jane played a pivotal role in Jimmy’s career. In his bio, Jimmy Buffett: A Good Life All The Way, the singer praised his wife for cleaning up his band’s “grungy look.” He said that gave the bandmates professionalism by changing their clothes.

According to the story, the couple briefly split in the early ’80s. Jane left Jimmy because the party lifestyle was becoming too much for her.

Fans mourn the singer’s death

“The open-air concert was magical. Thanks for the melodies. RIP JB – Parrot Head,” wrote one fan.

“Jimmy Buffett’s music has brought so much joy to his fans around the world and whenever I’ve seen him he always looked so happy to share it on stage. And now he’s off to the Labor Day weekend show somewhere in the afterlife. RIP JB. A legend indeed,” mourned a second fan.

“Today at 5 p.m. we should all be enjoying cheeseburgers and margaritas. RIP JB,” said a third fan, signaling Jimmy’s two famous restaurant chains, Cheeseburger in Paradise and Margaritaville.

“I just woke up to the news that we lost Jimmy Buffett. It’s heartbreaking to hear, but when I think back to how many times I’ve listened to his music, it always makes me smile. Thank you for the joy you have brought to all of us. RIP JB,” said another fan.
