Jill Biden appears to reveal granddaughter’s honeymoon goal on a hot mic

First Lady Jill Biden was heard on a hot mic Monday as she spoke about an exotic honeymoon destination days after her granddaughter’s wedding.

The first couple’s granddaughter Naomi Biden, 28, and her husband Peter Neal were married at the White House on Saturday and it appears, based on the first lady’s remarks, that the Seychelles, the Indian Ocean nation, is the place where they will spend their honeymoon.

“So they honeymooned … in the Seychelles,” the first lady was heard telling an unidentified person Monday at a “friendsgiving” event for troops at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

The details of President Biden’s granddaughter’s apparent post-wedding plans do not appear to have been previously reported.

The White House and a spokesman for the first lady did not immediately respond to the Post’s requests for comment or offer an alternative explanation for the remark.

The secluded Seychelles archipelago off the east coast of Africa is notably where Prince William and Kate Middleton spent their royal honeymoon in 2011. Her post-marriage vacation took her to a luxury villa on Seychelles’ exclusive North Island, where accommodations range north from $6,000 a night.

Naomi’s White House wedding on Saturday was off-limits to the press. The White House also took the extreme step of closing access to the public park directly across from the South Lawn to keep prying eyes away from the wedding of the 80-year-old president’s granddaughter.

Naomi is the daughter of the president’s scandal-plagued son, Hunter Biden, and his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle.

Among the 250 guests reportedly present at the couple’s wedding were former Senator Chris Dodd and daughter Samantha of Michael Cohen, former President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, who went to college with Naomi.

The wedding was only the 19th to take place on the White House grounds.
