Jihadi, who let a girl, 5 years old, die in chains, was convicted of genocide

A Daesh fanatic who chained a 5-year-old Yazidi girl in 50°C heat and left her to die of thirst has been convicted of genocide.
Taha al-Jumailly fainted as he was convicted of crimes including the murder of a youngster following a landmark trial in Frankfurt.
Daesh slaughtered thousands of Yazidis after taking their territory in Syria and Iraq in 2014 – but al-Jumailly was the first jihadist in the world to be convicted of genocide against minorities.
He was also convicted of crimes against humanity, war crimes and human trafficking. He was imprisoned for life.
The killer, 29, bought the girl and her mother as slaves in 2015.
When the child wet her mattress, he made them both stand out in the sun. The child died and her mother, Nora, suffered severe burns.
The court declared that the Iraqi al-Jumailly had murdered the girl because he wanted to wipe out Yazidis.
Such a single murder is considered genocide in Germany – one of the few countries that prosecutes jihadists for crimes against the group.
Al-Jumailly was extradited there after being held in Greece in 2019.
His German wife, Jennifer Wenisch, was jailed for 10 years last month for doing nothing to save the girl.
