Jewel releases EP cover after winning ‘The Masked Singer’

gem was named the winner of the sixth season of Masked singer and celebrated by releasing a new cover EP, Queen of hearts.

The EP features renditions of songs that Jewel performed on the competition show disguised as Queen of Hearts. Songs include Jewel’s versions of Édith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose”, Lady Gaga“Born this way”, Sia“Bird Set Free” and “River” by Bishop Briggs.

“Performing on Masked singer very happy for me because it allows me to pay homage to the songs that inspired me to be a musician and a singer, like ‘La Vie En Rose’ and ‘She’s Got You’, Jewel said in a statement. “Those are longtime favorites, and being able to immerse yourself in these epic songs to challenge yourself is truly amazing. It’s also fun because I can draw from all genres and all ages, which one person rarely does. That’s why I was inspired to release all the songs I chose; I had so much fun interpreting these songs and I wanted to share them! ”

EP follows Celebrating 25 years of re-release on Jewel’s debut album, Your pieces, to be released in 2020. Jewel is also set to release its first new studio album in seven years in early 2022, with more details to be shared soon, according to a press release.
