Jermaine Jenas criticized Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in their 1-0 defeat by Bournemouth.

Steve McManaman also plotted his former club for a ‘false dawn’ after their overwhelming win over Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

For Phillip Billing’s goal, the Dutch skipper seemed to have given up chasing to prevent the cross from being delivered, while his partner could have done better to prevent the delivery from being placed right in front of the match winner.
With that in mind, Jermaine Jenas is right when he criticizes both Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate for their performances against Bournemouth.
The pair were constantly being dragged much further forward than they should have been and while that may be due to the team’s highline, their individual performance makes it difficult to defend either defender.
