Jennifer Gray says ex Johnny Depp was ‘jealous’ in new memoir

Jennifer Gray has dropped another bombshell about her fiery relationship with ex-fiancé Johnny Depp in her new memoir “Out of the corner” Tuesday out.
That enduring “Dirty Dancing” legend reveals how things took a dark turn after her agent put her on a blind date with the hot “Cry-Baby” actor in 1989 when he was 26 and she was 29.
The pair got engaged just two weeks after meeting this year, she claimed.
Grey, 62, wrote of their first date: “We ate, talked, drank Jack Daniel’s, laughed our ass off and took a cigarette break in the middle. He was so incredibly beautiful. And surprisingly outspoken, funny, quirky and sweet.”
The lovebirds even welcomed a Pekingese poodle puppy named Lulu. “She was our practice baby and someone who kept me company when Johnny was out of town,” Gray wrote, according to one Excerpt obtained from The Independent.
Depp, 58, is currently embroiled in a high profile libel suit against ex-wife Amber Heard, 36 – but Gray now claims this isn’t his first exposure to relationship drama.
The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off scene thief then described how Depp’s behavior became erratic during their time together: “Johnny commuted back and forth from Vancouver every week but had started getting into trouble with increasing frequency: bar fights, skirmishes with cops.”
“He would start missing his flights to LA because he overslept, or when he came home he would be insanely jealous and paranoid about what I had been doing while he was away,” the mother-of-one continued. “I put his bad mood and dissatisfaction down to him feeling miserable and powerless to get away [the TV series] ’21 Jump Street.’ ”
Depp officials have not responded to requests for comment.
Meanwhile Grey previously revealed ahead of the release of her tell-all book that there was “some heat” in her relationship with Depp.
“It was a king’s campfire,” Gray said. “It was literally like, ‘Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? I’ve never seen a guy like that.”
She continued, “And energetically, what it was like to be with him, it was like, ‘Oh, I’m getting totally, totally compensated for what I’ve just been through.'”
The future Edward Scissorhands and Pirates of the Caribbean icon began dating Gray shortly after her split from Matthew Broderick.
She began dating Broderick, 60, in 1985 while filming Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The pair were semi-secretly dating at the time — until they got involved in one Car accident in Northern Ireland two years later. Two people died in the tragic accident and the actors were injured.

Gray reflected on the accident and how that moment impacted her life. “There were some very, very heavy things that changed my life forever and there was no one to blame,” she said. “It was a pure and simple accident that was tragic. And it had a very serious traumatic and lasting impact on Matthew and the other women’s families and me.”
