Jennifer Connelly’s former Tribeca penthouse is on the market for $12 million

There is more light in this loft than on some city streets.
A sprawling Manhattan penthouse that lists Requiem For a Dream actress Jennifer Connelly as a former occupant has been listed for $12 million. The maintenance fees for the cooperative building are $7,180 per month.
“There is something incredibly serene about the room” listing Agent Debbie Korb of Sotheby’s International Realty – Downtown Manhattan Brokerage told The Post. “Sunlight glistening off the river, sweeping expanses and an enchanting rooftop terrace.”
The four bathroom, full floor two and a half bathroom Tribeca loft features full walls of windows, multiple skylights and stunning views of the Hudson River. Within the 4,000-square-foot space there is a library with a wood-burning stove, a 45-foot wide living room, arched factory windows, built-in shelving galore, and a double-height kitchen previously reported to be 6 square feet. The master suite offers both a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with a travertine clad roll top bath. A conservatory overlooks the city via a series of minimalist staircases and leads to the 1,280-square-foot outdoor space.

“While it’s quintessentially Tribeca, it’s also reminiscent of the California coast. There is even a sauna on the roof,” says Korb. “It’s dramatic and calming at the same time.”
Connelly, 51, and her actor husband Paul Bettany, 50, bought the 288 West St. unit in 2008 for a little less than $7 million, according to 6sqft. In 2012, they reportedly received $8.495 million for the acreage in an off-market sale, according to 6sqft.
The Tribeca unit isn’t the only former Connelly home to hit the market recently: Last month, the Oscar-winner’s 6,500-square-foot limestone former home at 17 Prospect Park West was listed for $12.2 million. The seven-bedroom, three-bathroom features details like stained-glass windows, herringbone floors, and coffered ceilings, as The Post previously reported. Built in 1899, it has hosted many big names since Connelly’s time.
