Jeff Wittek reveals a scary experience with painkillers that led to a seizure

Jeff Wittek revealed he suffered a seizure due to complications from painkillers after multiple surgeries following his viral crane accident in 2021.

YouTuber and podcast host Jeff Wittek shocked the internet after revealing he nearly lost his left eye in a crane accident last year.

The influencer took part in a stunt with fellow vlogger David Dobrik operating a crane in the middle of a lake. Dobrik swung his friends around the machine as part of a jury-rigged spin – but the incident ended in pain for Wittek.

Wittek says he could have lost his eye as a result of the ordeal and underwent multiple surgeries over the ensuing months to fix the problem.

Podcast host Jeff Wittek suffered a serious eye injury after a stunt with Vlog Squad went wrong.

He and David Dobrik appear to be on bad terms, with Wittek notably calling the vlogger a “scumbag” before publicly splitting from him in February.

However, the aftermath of the accident did not end there. During an April 8, 2022 episode of his Jeff FM podcast, Wittek claimed he suffered a seizure due to complications from the painkillers he’s taking as a result of his multiple surgeries.

Jeff Wittek has spoken out multiple times about his injury following his accident in 2021.

“She looks at my records and sees, ‘Okay, you’ve been prescribed 10 opiates in the past year,'” he said of his visit to the doctor after the seizure. “And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ve had nine surgeries. After that, they give me painkillers.’”

“She’s like, ‘Oh no, we’ve got to stop all your meds, so you can’t have Ambien anymore,'” he continued.

“You bitch! You took away the one drug that helps me in life!” He joked. “I should’ve just fucking kept it quiet. That is why people hide their illnesses!”

Though Wittek humorously claimed he was upset with his doctor for stopping him from taking his medication, fans expressed concern for the YouTuber’s well-being and wished him well.

This news comes after Wittek announced that he is filing a lawsuit against Dobrik over the accident, who has not yet commented on the matter at the time of writing.
