Jeff Hardy Release: WWE has Big E, Bayley and more stars to pay tribute to

WWE superstars Big E, Bayley and more paid tribute to Jeff Hardy after his release.
The Charismatic Enigma – who signed with the company with his brother Matt in 1998 and left first in 2003 before making a brief return in 2006 for three years and then a recent comeback his best in 2017 – left the company on Thursday, and many of his fans and colleagues have given good words.
WWE Big E champ wrote: ‘Jeff Hardy is much loved by his fans and co-stars. I have never heard a single negative word about him and he has always treated me with such kindness. Just wish him and his family the best. ‘
Plenty of top stars have said similarly kind things about Jeff, including former women’s champion Bayley, who shared a behind-the-scenes moment with Hardy Boyz, all holding the gold.
She tweeted: ’12 year old Hardyz gave me so much hope to live a dream that seemed so out of reach. We all love you, Jeff! You are special and only wish the best for you. ‘
Mustafa Ali recalled his experience in the ring with Jeff after they were placed together on the Main Event, and he admitted he was surprised by the former world champion’s performance of the night.
He revealed: ‘I had to compete with Jeff Hardy on the Main Event. I assumed that Jeff would do it “easily”.
“Jeff said, ‘No, man, I’ve been waiting for this game. Let’s tear this sh*t apart. “He gave in an amazing way. I sincerely hope for the best for Jeff and his family. ‘
US champion Damian Priest added: ‘I think the world of @JEFFHARDYBRAND. Nothing but positive thoughts and we will bless this good soul. ‘
And AEW star Lio Rush pointed to the inspiration Jeff had in his dream of becoming a professional wrestler, adding that he is ‘praying’ for the legend and his family.
He tweeted: ‘Thank you #JeffHardy for really inspiring me. Without him, there wouldn’t be him in this world of pro wrestling. Thank you for your hunger, passion, dedication and loyalty to your family. Pray for you. Pray for them. #For the best’
Jeff’s departure from WWE comes a few days after he was brought home from the tour after appearing ‘sluggish’ in a match at a recent live event.
On Saturday, he appeared at a show in Edinburg, Texas when he teamed up with Drew McIntyre and King Xavier Woods to take on The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and The Usos.
As reported by PWInsider and corroborated by Fightful at the time, Jeff tagged out of the match and ‘disappeared in the crowd’, where he was tracked down by security.
In a video posted by fans on social media, the 44-year-old star can be seen leaving the ring during the match and not returning to celebrate with his partners after their win.
