Steven Spielberg’s Dinosaur Movie was released in 1993 and starred Laura Dern as Ellie Satler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant and Goldblum as Ian Malcolm.

In the years since its release, a number of scenes have become iconic moments in popular culture. One such scene features Goldblum’s character posing shirtless after narrowly escaping a T-Rex.

In a recent interview with his original Jurassic Park co-stars, Goldblum addressed the longstanding joke.

“I don’t remember how that happened,” he said vanity fair. “I have no idea… It just sort of happened. I’m sorry, for better or for worse. I apologize profusely. Or… you’re welcome?”

In 2020, Goldblum shared a photo on Instagram of him recreating the scene.

Two years earlier, a 25-foot statue of Malcolm’s pose was unveiled in London to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary.

Goldblum will reprise his role next year Jurassic World: Dominion alongside Dern and Neill, who will also portray their original characters.

The film is the third film in the Jurassic World series and the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park series.

It takes place in the present, about four years after the events of 2018 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdomstarring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jurassic World: Dominion hits UK cinemas on June 10, 2022.
